At the Club, Diane tells Jack they should be able to move back into the house in a couple of weeks. Jack barely answers. She notices he’s distracted and asks what’s going on. Jack’s just got a lot on his mind, and claims it’s work. Diane isn’t buying it. “It’s not Kyle is it?” Jack says no, and he’s proud of his son for being unfazed by Victor’s interference in his relationship. Diane crabs about the Mustache. Jack turns the topic back to the house. He can’t wait to get home. Diane warns him not to drive by… she wants him to see it for the first time with her. Jack’s excited and looking forward to the unveiling.

Jack teases that he’s had a little trouble putting trust in Diane and her renovation, but he thinks he’s over it. She knows it’s been hard on him, but the results will be worth it. “I won’t let you down.” She knows something else is bothering him… something he’s not telling her. Jack assures her he’s fine. They stand to leave, and Jack says he’s going to sign papers with Billy. He hasn’t had any updates lately and is keen to find out what’s going on.

Damian Accuses Holden

Nate joins Damian and Holden at the jazz club. Damian tells Holden that someone is spreading misinformation about his connection to Aristotle Dumas. “Whoever it is wants to make Lily believe I can’t be trusted. Holden… you wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you?” Holden asks if he’s suggesting he’s spreading information. “Why would I do anything to make you look bad?” Damian says maybe because he’s upset that they came to Genoa City and it turned their lives upside-down. Holden would tell him if he felt that way. Holden questions him no longer trusting him. He used to value his opinion and friendship. All of the sudden he’s short with him and making accusations. “You’re different, man. There’s only one reason I can think of why that might be. Are you behind this, Nate?”

Nate asks why he’d have a problem with their friendship. Holden thinks it’s because of his past with Audra. Nate says that’s the past. Damian tells Holden he needs to back off. Holden complains about Damian changing again. Nate says he’s missing the point. Someone is clearly feeding Lily misinformation about Damian. Holden asks, “Why don’t you interrogate her?” Nate says good idea and pulls out his phone. Damian asks Holden if he didn’t feed Lily the lies, does he have any idea who did? Who would have it in for his boss?

Chloe Advises Sally

At Crimson Lights, Chloe asks Sally how things are going with Billy. Sally says they’re getting along, and things are good. Chloe asks, “What’d he do now?” Sally sighs and tells her that despite all her warning, Billy is determined to work with Phyllis. Chloe agrees there’s reason for concern. She whispers about the time she got Kevin to help her move a body. Sally doesn’t even want to know. Chloe asks if she thinks she’s making a play for Billy. Sally’s not worried about that. She just thought he was getting rid of the anger and focusing on his new company. Phyllis hasn’t done anything directly, but apparently there’s a questionable deal being dangled in front of his face and she doesn’t trust Phyllis to be a good influence. She wishes he’d make the decision without her input. Chloe thought he was smarter than to let Phyllis into his inner circle. She decides that Sally needs to get Phyllis out of Billy’s orbit for good… for his sake and the sake of his company.

Chloe thinks if anyone can push Phyllis out of the picture, it’s Sally. The redhead asks if Chloe’s suggesting she resort to her old ways. Chloe says Phyllis is a time bomb and needs to be stopped before she blows up Billy’s business. Sally won’t stoop to her level. Chloe thinks she just needs to give her enough rope… a nudge in the wrong direction so Billy can see he’s making a mistake. Sally’s not ready to move like that. “What if it blows up in my face?” Chloe counsels that he just needs to be careful. Sally decides she’s not that woman anymore. “That was my past.” Chloe says fine, but warns her not to complain when Phyllis leads her man off a cliff.

Lily and Billy Share Information

Billy joins Phyllis at Society and asks if she’s OK. He tells her the deal with Dumas could be beneficial for both of them. Phyllis says she did some research on Dumas and found out nothing. A big fat zero. How is someone so wealthy able to fly under the radar? Billy thinks wealth can buy anonymity. Phyllis says it can also cover up crimes. Why does he want to be involved with this guy? She asks him to prove that Dumas is on the level by sharing the secret he promised to keep.

Billy denies he’s keeping a secret. She reminds him he already said he was. Billy wants her to trust him. There are aspects of Dumas’ business that he’s asked him to keep to himself. Phyllis worries he’ll get so caught up with this that he’ll lose focus on Abbott Communications. They have Jack’s backing and that’s all they need. She reminds him she needs this for herself and her son. Billy asks if she’s told Daniel. Phyllis was hoping to talk him out of it. Billy argues this would make them into a powerhouse instantly. Phyllis agrees that it seems great from a corporate standpoint, but it could come with a huge price and backfire. Billy will see to it that doesn’t happen. Phyllis worries his connection to Dumas could derail everything. Billy will sit down and look him in his eyes… if he doesn’t like what he sees, he’ll walk away. Phyllis worries he’s too desperate for that to be true. Lily appears. She heard them mention Dumas and asks why she’s suddenly hearing this guy’s name everywhere. “He’s on your radar too?”

Billy asks what Lily’s connection to Dumas is. Lily won’t let him turn this back on her. Phyllis points out that she was eavesdropping and butted in on their conversation. Billy suggests they share information about the mogul. Phyllis tells Lily, “You go first.” Lily tells them that Nate found out recently that he has a half-brother named Damian Kane, who works for Dumas. Billy tells her Dumas reached out to him to congratulate him on Abbott Communications, and was interested in how he lost Chancellor. Lily didn’t have dealings with him at Chancellor, and doesn’t think Damian’s met him face-to-face either. They go over the connections to The Count of Monte Cristo. Dumas’ sudden interest in Genoa City businesses is odd. Lily leaves with her takeout and Phyllis notes that Billy didn’t tell Lily that Dumas offered to get Chancellor back for him. Billy reminds her that Lily plotted to take the company away from him. She did share interesting information, though. Phyllis says this guy is secretive, but everywhere. They have to distance themselves from him. Billy is more determined to get to the bottom of it.

Lily Puts Damian On the Spot

In the jazz lounge, Holden suggests that Lily is making things up to sow seeds of distrust. Nate says she would never play those kind of games. Damian agrees; she’s a straight shooter. Holden asks, “So, who’s feeding her all this garbage.” Damian says Nate suggested it might be Victor Newman, but he’s never met the man. Lily appears and walks toward them as Damian questions why he’d go out of his way to discredit him and sabotage his relationship with Nate and the rest of his family. Lily asks Nate, “You told him about Victor?!”

Nate mentioned to Damian and Amy that he suspected that Victor was her source. Lily fumes that if she’d wanted them to know, she’d have told them herself. Damian says it’s not true. Lily asks why Victor would lie. What would his motivation be? Nate points out he’s not trustworthy. Lily argues he’s giving her this information to make amends. Nate shakes his head in disbelief. Damian asks, “What proof does he have?” Lily says he has a reliable source who is standing by their information. They only have Damian’s word. She thinks this should be concerning to Nate.

Damian is asking Lily and Nate to believe him. Nate says he’s made it kind of hard. Damian argues that he made it hard… he came to town at his request and was blindsided by the revelations of him and his mom. He asked Dumas to look into Winters after his fake job offer. He had no reason to look into his company before that. Holden backs him up. Lily scoffs, “Yeah, right.” Damian asks what he’s done to make her so skeptical. She says he sent Holden to pose as him. Damian points out he was manipulated from the start. Then he had to grapple with the news that he never knew his biological father and he has a brother who is a stranger to him, on top of his mother’s health. Lily concedes that it was a lot. Damian asks why they’re so convinced he’s the bad guy. Is there anything he can do to convince them otherwise? Lily says, “Well, there is one thing you could do.”

Lily asks him to come clean and tell them the truth about his relationship with Dumas. Damian asks if she really expects him to betray his boss’ confidence. It was his decision to stay in the shadows, not his. Lily shrugs, “You asked what would make us believe you. Tell us about this mysterious boss of yours.” Damian says, “No, I can’t reveal information he entrusted me with.” Lily challenges, “If you want us to believe that your interest in our family is innocent, then what is his agenda here in Genoa City? Tell us what it is he really wants.”

Jack Warns Billy

Jack meets Billy at his house, and they sit down to talk business. Billy tells his brother this means everything to him. Jack asks how it’s going. Billy says everything is ready to take off, though some of it is contingent on another opportunity he has. “Have you heard of Aristotle Dumas.” Jack recalls that he’s a mysterious businessman who came out of the shadows in the past five years or so and likes to stay in the shadows. Billy says, “He reached out to me with a hell of an offer.” Jack asks if they have history. Billy doesn’t think so… but he seems to be one of his biggest fans and genuinely interested in helping him. Jack asks, “With what?” Billy says he wants to help him right the wrong that was done to him at Chancellor. Jack hopes he’s not buying that… this is just the kind of temptation he doesn’t need. Billy asks if Jack’s having second thoughts.

Jack denies he’s having second thoughts… he just needs to know that Billy is focused squarely on Abbott Communications. Billy says everything he’s gone through has prepared him for this moment. He’s confident he can go toe-to-toe with the best of them. “I’m all in.” Jack says that’s just what he wanted to hear. He’s proud of him and he trusts him. Grabbing the paperwork, Jack says he’s about to show him how much. He signs and says, “There. Exactly as we discussed.” Billy thanks his brother. “I will admit, this Dumas thing, it threw me.” He’s even more suspicious knowing he has connections to Lily’s family. Jack doesn’t like it and warns it could be trouble. Billy sees the red lights flashing; he doesn’t know who this guy is or why he’s making overtures to so many people in this town.

With Billy.”

Phyllis and Sally move to the patio. Phyllis is sure that Sally’s heard about this Aristotle Dumas reaching out to Billy. Sally confirms she has. Phyllis thinks he’s dangerous; he’s so secretive he can get away with a lot. Billy should be laser focused on Abbott Communications right now and reflecting a good image. Sally has to agree. Phyllis thinks if anyone can dissuade Billy from doing a deal with Dumas, it’s Sally.

Sally tells Phyllis that Billy can make his own business decisions. Phyllis thinks she has more influence than she thinks she does. Sally argues it’s not her place to interfere. Phyllis is just saying she could get him to see an alternative point of view. Sally trusts Billy will look at all sides before making his decisions. Phyllis is surprised this doesn’t bother her. He was so excited about Abbott Communications and now he’s risking it all. Sally tells Phyllis she doesn’t know what his motivations are, but Phyllis says she does. “He would do anything to get back at Victor and his mom.”

Sally trusts Billy’s vision and thinks Phyllis should too. Phyllis asks, “Don’t you see what’s happening? Doesn’t it bother you a little bit that Dumas could be manipulating Billy, and want to exploit those feelings of vengeance and resentment… and then he could just lose everything because of that?” Sally asks if she’s sure this isn’t about her. Phyllis admits she wants to see Abbott Communications succeed for herself… but for Billy too. She declares that they have to set aside their differences to protect Abbott Communications and Billy at all costs.
