On today’s General Hospital, Gio, Dex, Josslyn and Trina are all looking for Christmas trees at Rice Plaza. When they find one, Gio and Dex point out they’ve looked at every tree there, and want to be sure it’s the perfect one for Trina and Joss. Dex then reminds the ladies that they need a tree stand and the two run off, leaving him and Gio to guard the tree with their lives.

Dex’s about to give money to a charity box when Cyrus appears before him. Cyrus greets him and, after some probing, says he’ll follow the letter of the law and abide by his sister’s wishes, staying away from the family. Dex points out he saw Cyrus at GH on Halloween, after he was told to stay away, and Cyrus replies, “Hand to God, I was not there to see Lulu on Halloween.”

In the plaza, Lucky watches a guy play guitar and tosses money into his case, smiling wistfully at the families — just before he quite literally runs into Liz. She asks how Lulu’s doing and after saying how well she’s doing, he asks about Aiden. He wanted to go to the mall instead of tree shopping with mom, so Lucky joins her as her “wingman.”

He promises to get her a real tree, not some tiny thing that wouldn’t fit her ornaments. After they find one, Liz mentions how much this reminds her of their grand plan as teenagers to move to New York City together and start a wondrous life together. She tells him he was the first person to believe in her and got her to believe in herself. “You deserve the world,” Lucky tells her gently.

They bring the tree back to Liz’s, where Lucky offers to help her set up all the Christmas decor. He wants to surprise Aiden with a Christmas wonderland when he gets back. They start decorating and Lucky opens up a bit about breaking the news to Lulu about their dad’s death. Liz was always envious of their family relationship and Luke being an actual dad and friend.

She hopes she’ll have that with her boys. Lucky assures her she will, then casually says he decided to stick around. Liz wants to know how long. “For the foreseeable future.” Liz says Aiden will be happy to hear it and she’s happy for his sake. When Lucky pushes, she admits she doesn’t hate the idea. But Lucky admits he’s got to find a job if he’s staying.

Liz suggests he revisit an “old dream” and try his hand at being a busker. Then she runs to grab a guitar to give him.

Alexis arrives home, wanting to talk to Molly about what Kristina said at the courthouse. Molly stops her in her tracks, wanting to leave so Alexis isn’t put in the middle of her and Kristina. Alexis doesn’t want to lose another daughter, but that’s why Molly has to leave. If it looks like Alexis is siding with her, she’ll lose Kristina.

Alexis insists she’s not taking sides. If Kristina feels that way with Molly staying there, that’s between mother and daughter. Molly needs a place to stay and grieve however she needs and wants, regardless of what TJ and Kristina say. Molly then asks her mom what Alexis thinks Ava did.

Alexis says the jury arrived at a fair verdict “given the circumstances.” She hopes Kristina can someday see that too, and she understands exactly where Molly’s coming from, much to her daughter’s relief. It makes her feel less alone, and Alexis assures her she isn’t, then gets her to say she’ll stay there at least until she figures out where she’s going.

Martin excitedly greets Laura, wanting to hear all about Lulu’s miraculous recovery. Though he has a few questions about the Cyrus “mixup.” He’s horrified about Cyrus claiming medical control, but loves how Lulu pulled off her escape. It’s fine, though, she got a restraining order.

They talk about Lulu some more and Laura’s worry that her daughter’s trying to rush her recovery and getting back to her life. Lulu and Rocco are having dinner tonight, and Martin gets it. “Can you imagine waking up and years have passed?” Yes, Laura can. She lived it.

Martin never knew that. Laura rehashes her coma and waking up to find Lulu went from a kid to a “spirited teenager.” It took some time, but they built a great relationship. Martin points out that Lulu will feel the same way about Rocco and mourn the loss of seeing her son grow up.

“What a gift,” Martin points out. Lulu has a mom who knows EXACTLY what she’s going through. He asks if there’s been any luck tracking down Charlotte, but no, not yet.

Sonny and Kristina get back to the restaurant where he assures her that things will settle with Molly and not to worry about it. Kristina, though, says she meant exactly what she said about Molly not being Adela’s mother. But she can’t believe everyone from Molly to the jury believed Ava over her. Sonny gets it and quietly promises his daughter, “One way or another, Ava’s gonna pay.”

It doesn’t dampen Kristina’s rage that Molly believes Ava over her. She’s just looking at the easy way out of processing emotions by deciding her daughter’s death was an accident. But no matter what, Kristina’s going to make “damn well sure” Ava gets “justice.”

Sonny’s proud of Kristina. She did everything she could for her daughter. “You’re done now. You let me deal with Ava.” She has to find a new purpose. That’s when he asks if she gave more thought to his job offer, and she says she’s not excited about the coffee business. He then asks about the Youth Center and she says she’s proud of the work she did, but she’s not the right person to run it now. She’s too angry right now to help the kids like they deserve.

Sonny tells her she has more than anger to offer, she just has to figure out how to channel her peace and love and energy. And he’s got an idea how. Kristina could run Charlie’s for him. No, wait, she could own it for him. Kristina’s not sure, so Sonny tells her she needs to move forward or risk getting locked in her pain.

He then tells her that if she says no, he’ll have to sell Charlie’s and doesn’t want to do that. This would be a favor for him, not charity for her.

Gio, Dex, Joss and Trina get the tree back to the ladies’ apartment and start decorating. Gio gets frustrated fast, telling everyone about how many rules his family always had for decorating. He and Trina talk about Christmas traditions, when Joss notices something’s off with Dex and asks what’s wrong. He shrugs her off, but Josslyn asks if he wants to get out of there. She thinks she left something at Rice Plaza.

They run out, but neither Gio nor Trina know what it was about. After, she asks if Gio can teach her Italian, but he doesn’t know much. Violin, though…

In the show’s final moments, Josslyn and Dex walk through Rice Plaza and she says she wanted to get him away from all the Christmas revelry making him uncomfortable. His family didn’t have the best time at it, he admits, and Joss gushes over how far he’s come, how they’ll make happy Christmas memories, then breaks out some mistletoe to kiss him under.

Shortly later, they’re in the bedroom, stripping down and going at it while music plays over their lovemaking.

Kristina isn’t sure about Charlie’s but Sonny won’t take no for an answer. The pub can be whatever she wants it to be. “Now it’s time to take care of yourself.” She promises to think about it for real and they shake.

Alexis begrudgingly tells Molly that she’ll respect Molly’s boundaries and won’t push for her and Kristina to make up. She’ll be honest with Kristina and offer to meet her somewhere else if she doesn’t want to go there. She then even more begrudgingly says Ric is allowed to visit Molly — just let her know so she can be gone when he’s there.

Laura laments letting Valentin go and taking Charlotte with him. Martin says not to beat herself up. He’s never met anyone who can compartmentalize things like Val. They both agree he loves Charlotte but Laura can’t get over him taking her and running, which wasn’t what was best for her.

Liz brings Cameron’s guitar downstairs and tells Lucky it’s better with him than collecting dust. He starts playing a song and singing for her as we flash back to them as teenagers and Liz watches with a small smile.

In the plaza, someone gives Cyrus money and after her saying he’s doing God’s work, he flashes back to entering a hospital room and injecting digitalis into an IV bag. The camera pulls back and reveals it is, indeed, Sam’s room as she’s asleep in the bed… And Cyrus is the one who murdered her!

Next on General Hospital, Nina’s got a word of warning for someone and Curtis puts Drew to the test.
