Michael Dietz Joins Days Of Our Lives As Dr. Jeffrey Russell – What Brings Him To Salem?
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that a new face is heading to Salem. Michael Dietz is joining the cast, and thanks to the promo video for April 28 to May 2, fans caught a glimpse of the new character that is entering the storylines, very soon. More details on this, below.
Welcome To Salem, Dr. Jeffrey Russell
Dietz is set to debut during the week of April 28, and TV Insider has reported that he’ll first appear on canvas during the Wednesday, April 30 episode. With that said, it sounds like he’ll be linked to Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) and Hope Williams Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) return to the little town.
Although it doesn’t look like he’ll help ensure they get back home, safe and sound. Next week, fans will learn that Bo is dying, and from the preview, it seems as if Dr. Jeffrey Russell isn’t willing to pass on the medication that could potentially save him. He’ll tell Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) that his “hands are tied,” but are they?
As the promo progresses, Shawn-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) tells Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) that the doctor probably won’t change his mind, and that the two of them should steal the meds! Will they cross this line? Shawn and Steve would do anything for Bo, so the answer to that is, “yes”!
Dietz’s Soapy Resume
Michael Dietz is no stranger to the land of daytime drama, playing Dr. Joe Scanlon on Port Charles (General Hospital’s spin-off) from 1997-1999.
In addition, he was on The Bold and the Beautiful as the son of Clarke Garrison (Daniel McVicar) and Margo Maclaine (Lauren Koslow) and had a stint on Passions, too. Dietz also stepped in as a recast on the Guiding Light, playing Alan-Michael Spaulding.
He’s also guest-starred in many prime-time shows, including Charmed, Beverly Hills 90210, Baywatch, CSI, House, The Drew Carey Show, and Wasteland.
