‘Survivor’ Star Kristina Mills Hits Back at ‘Hurtful’ Comments From Fellow Players
‘Survivor’ Star Defends Herself Against ‘Hurtful’ Comments From Fellow Players

Following her elimination from the show, Mills spoke to Entertainment Weekly where she was asked about the comments some of the players have made about her gameplay.
Mills reacted after watching the latest season of “Survivor” at home and confirmed she felt hurt. According to her interview, Mills believed that the mistakes she did make weren’t very significant and that some of her strategy calls were ignored.
She said “It was very hurtful, if we’re just being honest, because I think most of the slip-ups that I made or anything like that were things that weren’t even necessarily impactful to the game.
“And there was a lot of strategy that was happening. Me and Blue Sophi, we actually got very, very close at the end, and we realized that our games were very, very similar — a lot of the like moves that we were trying to make with our alliance, the way that we were perceived.”
She concluded, saying, “I just think that we were perceived very much the same way, and I don’t think that it was valid. So the same way that I’m seeing some of the stuff that they’re saying now, there are also things that I was saying that they didn’t get it to see.”

“Survivor” host Jeff Probst also recently revealed that his favorite moment from the most recent season of the show came courtesy of Mills. The scene in question happened when Mills became particularly emotional when talking about the death of her mother and how she missed her.
“I had a lot of memorable moments with this group,” Probst revealed. “But one that has really stayed with me was the moment on the dock with Kristina.”
He continued, “She was so open and so vulnerable about missing her mom, who had recently passed. And her pain was so raw that for a moment it overwhelmed her. It wasn’t planned, it wasn’t prompted. It was just a human being carrying real grief, and the demands of this crazy game brought it all to the surface.”
“It’s one of my favorite moments because it speaks to a part of Survivor that has always been deeply meaningful to me,” he said.
“When you take on something this difficult, you get stripped down in ways you don’t expect. And sometimes that creates space for emotional breakthroughs. And what was truly remarkable was that in the span of just a few minutes, you also saw the first steps toward Kristina healing her loss. And it all happened in real time on a dock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.”
