‘Survivor’ Winner Savannah Louie Shares Email She Sent Casting Over a Decade Ago
The ‘Survivor’ winner was previously rejected from season 26 of the show all the way back in 2012.

Survivor 49 winner Savannah Louie just revealed the email she sent the show’s casting department over a decade ago.
Louie took to TikTok to share the email she sent casting after going through the application process and getting cut from the show’s 26th season. At the time, the former journalist was only 18 years old.
“Timing is everything and what is meant for you will come to you — and this is literally proof,” Louie began the video. She then showed the email, which she called “embarrassing.”
“Seeing as it’s been a while since our last correspondence, I am assuming that I didn’t make the cut for the next season of Survivor,” the email begins. “While I’m definitely bummed, I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to continue to apply, and I don’t plan on stopping until I am able to be on Survivor or the show stops running!”
“So basically, the reason I’m contacting you is to let you know to keep an eye out for a new application from me, which will be on its way once the new applications are released,” it continued. “Even though I might not have been the right pick for the next season, I know I have what it takes to be a Soul Survivor. Also, I’m sure that if you were the producer to find me, all your fellow colleagues would give ya hella props because I know I would make the show…”

The rest of the email was not visible as it was covered by a caption that read, “My Survivor REJECT to WINNER pipeline is unreal.”
After reading the email out loud, the Survivor champion encouraged fans to chase their dreams as well.
“That producer never ended up responding, but I just wanted to encourage anyone who has a dream, do not let that dream die,” she said. “Go chase it, wait for it — maybe for the right time — but freaking 14 years later I got on the show and I won’t that s–t.”

Louie also joked that if she got on the show at 18 years old, she would’ve embarrassed herself way more than she did on 49. Had she been cast, she would’ve appeared on Survivor: Caramoan, which featured a cast of half returning players and half fans.
Louie and fellow 49 castaway Rizo “Rizgod” Velovic will return next spring for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.
By appearing on 50, Louie will become the first Survivor winner to appear on back-to-back seasons. She also made history in 49 by tying the record for individual immunity wins by a woman.
Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans premieres Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, with a special three-hour episode at 8/7c on CBS. For more SURIVIVOS updates, follow Daily News.
