Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that while some fans may think this could be an April Fool’s prank, unfortunately, it is not. Actress Tamara Braun hopped on social media on April 1 to confirm her exit from the soap. More details on this below.

This Is No Joke

Braun confirmed on her Instagram account that this week is the last week Ava Vitali will be seen on canvas. In fact, she notes that she’s stopped filming on the soap as of July 2024, and Ava’s final day in Salem will take place this Thursday, April 3.

She went on to say that she will miss her “Days pals, stating, “They are a really good group of caring individuals and being with them was a joy. Thanks for all the #love #kindness and #support during Ava’s latest Salem stint.”

Ava Vitali’s Legacy

Braun debuted in 2008 as Ava Vitali after leaving General Hospital playing Carly Corinthos – a role she had been in for four years.

She appeared on the soap for about six months, exited, and returned once again in 2015 for another brief stint.

Ava would then return to Salem in 2020 and became a staple in Salem as a regular character, only to leave again at the end of 2022 and return in August 2023.

It’s unclear what has Ava exiting Salem this time around but considering the recent kidnapping ordeal she’s had to go through with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), her daughter Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater), and her mom Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle) – Ava may decide on a new chapter somewhere else, or go to Hong Kong to visit her son, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams).

Braun has had an incredible career in the land of daytime drama, not only with her roles on Days of Our Lives and General Hospital (playing Carly, as well as Kim Nero), but the actress was also on All My Children, as Reece Williams.

During her soap career, Tamara has won two Daytime Emmys, both in the Supporting Actress category.
