Liam’s Been Adrift Since He And Hope Split

Let’s be honest: Liam has been lost ever since his breakup with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) on the CBS soap. Hope’s career skyrocketed (only to later take a nosedive) after she got involved with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint Victor).

Unfortunately, Liam’s trajectory hasn’t been as fortunate-Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) has returned, still seemingly harboring feelings for Liam, but it’s unclear if he even realizes she’s back in town!

For a moment, it seemed he might reconnect with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), but she’s been preoccupied with the ongoing family turmoil surrounding Finn. To make matters worse, that chaos has affected Liam too, costing him one of his last connections to Los Angeles.

Liam’s Been Having A Tough Time

He’s been struggling to come to terms with the fact that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) managed to secure Luna’s release and pardon after she murdered two men and kidnapped Steffy.

This situation has weighed heavily on him, despite his father making it clear that he has no interest in Liam’s views.

The tension reached a peak in yesterday’s episode when Bill threatened to fire him, prompting Liam to take the initiative and declare, “I quit;” so, what’s next for Liam?

He lacks the love that would anchor him in town, and his personal life is nearly non-existent. With his job gone and a rift between him and his father, what path does he have ahead?

Will Liam Just Disappear, Like Wyatt?

There’s a sense of uncertainty surrounding what lies ahead for him, and it raises our concerns that he might follow in his brother Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) footsteps and vanish. However, there remains a glimmer of hope.

For starters, Will appears to be heading towards a situation similar to the Hope/Liam/Steffy triangle, and who better to guide him through it than his older brother?

Although given Liam’s tendency to be indecisive, we can’t guarantee that his advice will be sound, but it’s definitely available.

A Deadly Cliffhanger?

Liam has parted ways with Spencer Publications, but he has a history with Forrester. It’s only natural for Steffy to consider giving a job to the man who is the father of her child.

This could pave the way for rekindling their romantic connection, particularly if her relationship with Finn and Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada)  takes a turn for the worse. Is this the end for Liam; it doesn’t have to be.

The future will reveal if his departure from Spencer Publications is just the beginning of bigger changes-although, as it stands, he might be… no; is Liam DEAD?
