The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 16, reveals that Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) summoned Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) to her office, where Poppy was disgusted over her sister having Tom Starr’s (Clint Howard) liver.

Poppy didn’t understand what was going on, but Li started playing up how surprised Poppy must’ve been when Luna rigged the paternity test that made Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) look like her father.

Li wondered if Poppy let herself believe the lie, but Poppy insisted Tom was Luna’s father and acted like none of this mattered now.

However, Li was determined to answer a question that had haunted her for years.

Poppy blurted out that she was a terrible mother since she assumed that’s what Li wanted to hear.

After Poppy asked why Li had always been so mean to her and questioned why she had Tom’s liver, Li confessed she had Luna’s blood sample, too.

Li eventually admitted she ran another paternity test and confirmed Tom wasn’t Luna’s father, but she suggested to Poppy that they both knew who was.

Poppy stood there looking guilty and concerned about what was next.

At Bill’s mansion, Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) wanted Bill’s help to scrub Electra Forrester’s (Laneya Grace) deep fakes online, so Bill agreed he’d get in touch with his people.

It seemed like Bill was trying to get rid of Will, so Will questioned his dad. Bill pretended to have a business deal on his mind, but Will was skeptical.

Although Will suggested maybe all the Luna drama was still bothering his father, Bill insisted he’d been able to put things into perspective.

Will finally let it go for now, but he remained concerned about Bill’s cagey behavior.

After Will said he was glad Luna didn’t turn out to be his sister, he took off.

Luna came out of hiding and wondered about Will’s reaction if he found out everything Bill had done to help her.

Bill was eager to keep Will out of all this and thought it was best for Luna to avoid talking about the past.

Although Luna had wanted Bill to be her father, Bill insisted Tom was her dad and acted like that was that.

At the Forrester mansion, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) gave Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Eric Forrester (John McCook) some positive updates since Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) agreed to bring her back at Forrester Creations.

That put Steffy a step closer to her goal of getting control of the company and putting the Forresters in charge again.

Later, Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) stopped by, so Ridge met her and learned she was going to be a crucial part of Steffy’s plot.

Now that Daphne was working on the fragrance line, she was in the prime position for what Steffy wanted.

Daphne was the kind of attractive, confident woman that no man could say no to – not even Carter!

Steffy suggested that Carter and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) presented themselves as a strong couple, but she was interested to see what would happen with Daphne in the mix.

That news left Ridge smiling over Steffy’s sneaky plan.

At Forrester Creations, Carter understood why Hope would be wary about Steffy’s return, but he offered reassurance and played up the benefits of having a Forrester at the company.

Carter ultimately acted like their love was unbreakable, so Hope kissed him – though she still looked concerned over his shoulder as they hugged.
