The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that a Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) double murder shocker could play out. Will the detective die too over his investigation into Damian’s death?
Y&R’s preview video for the week of July 14-18 shows Damian seemingly suffering the effects of poison.
Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is drinking with Damian when he suddenly struggles to stay conscious.
Another portion of the promo shows Chance gathering with a good chunk of the partygoers as he begins investigating a murder.
Damian is nowhere to be seen, so could that be because he’s the fatal victim?
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) seems surprised over the murder aspect – like maybe there was room for doubt about how the victim actually died.
That could line up with Damian’s situation if there are questions about whether he was poisoned or not.
Of course, Lily wouldn’t be acting that way if a stabbed body was found. There’d be no ifs, ands or buts about that being straight-up murder.
Since we know someone wearing gloves will eventually lurk with a knife, we could be looking at two fatal exits.
If Damian indeed gets killed off by poison, someone else could face a grisly stabbing outcome soon after.
Chance could land in a dangerous situation since he’ll be looking for clues and nailing down suspects.
The closer Chance gets to the killer, the more likely it becomes that he could end up a fatal target, too.
There have definitely been some rumblings about more than one attack happening in Nice.
Since we know Conner Floyd left Y&R and is already filming at Days of Our Lives, that could mean bad news for Chance’s future.
Instead of letting Chance disappear from the canvas or recasting him, the show might opt to give him a deadly sendoff.
Will Chance lose his life trying to uncover the truth about what went down on Cane’s estate?
It’s even possible it’ll be a case of mistaken identity if someone confuses Chance for Cane in the dark.
The point is that Chance’s survival isn’t guaranteed, especially knowing what we know about Floyd’s departure for DOOL.
