Eric was one of countless residents in Los Angeles and its neighboring areas who endured devastating losses from the wildfires, many escaping the inferno with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

In a poignant video shared just before his evacuation, he captured the terrifying sight of the flames encroaching on his home. A few days later, he took fans and Entertainment Tonight along as he bravely returned to witness the destruction of his Palisades residence for the first time.

Eric Found His Home In Ruins

Burdened by sorrow, Eric emerged from the car to witness the devastation of his home, openly sharing his anguish with his followers during this heart-wrenching moment. A fan reminded him on social media that while possessions can be replaced, lives—his included—cannot.

As he walked through the remnants of what once was, Eric reflected on the profound weight of his grief. “It’s an overwhelming sense of loss, man—it’s difficult to articulate, it completely throws you off balance,” the actor expressed.

Numerous daytime stars rallied around him, including his co-star Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) and Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman), who also faced the loss of his home.
