The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates indicate that we have some intriguing comings and goings to talk about. Two members of the Abbott family are preparing to leave, while Melissa Ordway is making her comeback as Abby Winters; additionally, there’s an exciting new character on the horizon!

Melissa Ordway Returns As Abby

To kick things off, Melissa Ordway is set to return as Abby during the week of April 14-18. Viewers can expect Abby to provide comfort to Devon Winters (Bryton James) as he navigates some family issues, possibly offering him some guidance as well.

Additionally, Valarie Pettiford will have more scenes as Amy Lewis, who remains concerned about Damian Kane’s (Jermaine Rivers) attempts to bond with Devon, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Moving on, there’s some exciting news regarding the Abbott family: Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will announce her plans to head to New York alongside Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Following the recent turmoil involving Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins), Traci feels the need to escape for a bit and focus on writing her next book.

New Character, Abbott Sisters Will Return

Luckily, Traci will reassure Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) that they’ll be returning shortly! Diane still wants to reveal the fresh updates to the Abbott mansion, so Traci and Ashley will come back to share their thoughts when it’s time.

Additionally, upcoming Y&R spoilers indicate that Jai Rodriguez will join the cast as a party planner named Pietro starting May 28. With Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas-Scott) celebrating her birthday soon, Pietro will assist in organizing her party over the course of four episodes.

YR Alum Soap Hops!

Fans are already aware of one soap hopper from Days of Our Lives to YR, Billy Flynn, but we’re not sure yet of his role-he is one contender for the mysterious Aristotle Dumas.

The other contender, Daniel Goddard who played Cane Ashby has been selected to portray Professor Henry Dalton on General Hospital. He is set to make his debut on GH on April 15 and is currently in the midst of filming.

Fans who appreciated his character Cane in Genoa City might want to tune in to see his new role in Port Charles.

While there was earlier speculation about Goddard possibly returning to Y&R as Cane and being unveiled as Aristotle Dumas that seems unlikely unless Cane is recast-the show might surprise us!
