It was a nice gift and one that kind of cements Claire’s acceptance into the Newman family. At the same time, in soaps, this usually indicates the family is about to go south!

Victor always thinks he is right and thinks he knows best for everyone. Victor rarely lets his family members live their own lives, even when they are approaching middle age!

Victor doesn’t want Claire with Kyle, and he’s going to do whatever he can to make sure that happens. In Victor’s mind, he truly believes that he is doing what is best for Claire. However, I’m not sure if Claire will see it this way!

Victor might blackmail Kyle to force his hand. However, since things are going so well between Kyle and Claire, a sudden split would be suspicious. Claire would want to know why and she can tell if Kyle isn’t being completely truthful.

Once Claire learns about Victor’s blackmail, that could change everything for the Newman family! It might even push Claire to wonder if Jordan (Colleen Zenk) was right all along…
