Well, just in case the headline and the hints of pink and green in the photo above didn’t tip you off, Wicked has pretty much taken over the world right about now. The Broadway musical-turned-movie is everywhere and has consumed everyone! And while that may be a bit of a hyperbole, it’s not too far from the truth! Heck, event the cast of Days of Our Lives has caught one Wicked fever!

The show released a video of the cast over on Instagram taking their best crack at some of the musical’s vocal performances from the iconic song, “Defying Gravity.” And you can tell there are definitely singers in the cast! But we knew that from the Day Players band. And for those who aren’t necessarily singers… We’ll just say the cast is full of performers!

Paul Telfer (Xander) God bless him, kicks things off riding in on a mop (hey, it worked in Hocus Pocus) and belting his heart out before flying off. And hey, since wife Carmen Cusack played Elphaba in a number of Wicked performances across the country (and in Australia), we have no doubt he knows a thing or two about the musical.

And from there, we’re off and running! Honestly, it’s tough to pick out the highlights — John-Paul Lavoisier (Philip) looks borderline terrified, Dan Feuerriegel (EJ) takes two, equally hilarious shots at the vocals and AnnaLynne McCord (Cat) wraps it all up with a pretty darn good note or three!

But that’s not even scratching the surface of what we get from our beloved Salem folks! Check out the full video below to see who took a crack at performing.

Well, it looks like their vocal chords are sufficiently warmed up for the film. Who else is planning on seeing Wicked this weekend? We’ll leave it up to you as to whether you’re up to joining in on the signing or just plan on enjoying the film!
