Did someone call for a brilliant lawyer? If not, that’s what we’re about to get as Mishael Morgan makes her way back to The Young and the Restless as attorney (and poor, dead Hilary’s twin sister) Amanda Sinclair!

Our sister site Deadline reports that Morgan’s onset this week filming at Young & Restless, with Amanda’s scenes to air later this spring. The timing is kind of perfect for a few reasons. First off, Morgan’s new Hallmark movie is set to debut this Saturday, March 29th. (You can find out more about that here!) Second, we have a feeling this may just be tied into an Aristotle Dumas reveal, as we finally get to the bottom of who he is!

Because now that we know Dumas has an interest in Chancellor, Jill and Billy — we’re almost certain that he has to be none other than Cane Ashby!  After all, Amanda’s been tied to Cane and the Chancellor drama from back when first came to town, hired, supposedly, by Chance to contest Katherine’s will.

In a twist, Cane ended up receiving the bulk of Katherine’s fortune. Ultimately, though, it was revealed to be a ploy as his father, Colin, had actually been the one to secretly hire Amanda and get his hands on the money. In time, everything was worked out and Devon and Amanda ended up in a relationship, until it crashed and burned when Amanda quite literally found her beau in bed with Abby.

Amanda left town for good, moving to Virginia to be with her mother, though she has popped back in a couple times. The first was when Lily hired her in 2023 to represent Chancellor-Winters in court, and the second was just last year when Jill hired her to help with Chancellor-Winters legal matters.

With Dumas interested in helping Billy with Chancellor and Amanda being so tied to both the company and Cane, we can’t imagine her return is at all a coincidence.

This, too, is just a brief return, according to Deadline, but it’s one that could be incredibly revealing!
