Y&R Michael Graziadei Has A Warning For Viewers
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Daniel Romalotti has had quite the ups and downs over his time in Genoa City.
While he’s been framed for murder, cheated on his girlfriend, has been taken advantage of, and accused of drunk driving. Still, one thing that he’s never had to deal with is a doppelganger or evil twin. As they say, there’s a first time for everything!
Life Imitates Art – Sort Of
Graziadei recently spoke out on social media about someone pretending to be him. He hopped on Instagram and called attention to a person impersonating him. The actor uploaded a screenshot of the scammer’s fake IG profile.
In the caption of his Instagram post, Graziadei wrote, “This is NOT me. Please do not give them your personal info or send them money or gift cards or whatever these scumbags are asking for. I will never contact you from a fake account.”
He went on to warn, “Please don’t fall for this. Report and block this fake account. And please spread the word.”
Not The First Y&R Star To Deal With This
Sadly, there have been many instances of scammers trying to impersonate soap actors/actresses.
Even more so, Graziadei is not the first Young and the Restless star that’s has had to deal with fake profiles of impersonators trying to scam money off their fans.
Y&R alum, Robert Newman (ex-Ashland Locke), and current cast member Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) have recently issues similar to Graziadei over recent years, warning their followers to stay alert.
Unfortunately, these people tend to set up fake accounts of popular daytime drama stars – or other celebrities – and then slide into a fan’s DMs asking for money, gift cards, and selling fake merchandise or appearances.
As these profiles seem legitimate, it can be very confusing to some fans who receive messages of this kind.
