The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, March 4 tease that feelings are getting hurt and tempers are flaring in Genoa City, Wisconsin. For starters, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has an interesting ask, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) plots to escape attempt, and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) thinks that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is behind her mom’s disappearance.

Two Ladies In Captivity in Peril

Sharon and Phyllis are being held against their will in an abandoned inane asylum. They have just one job, that is to get along, and then they will be set free. It is harder than it looks.

They have been sworn enemies for decades and getting them to agree on anything is a monumental request. Fans will see Phyllis go rogue, scream her head off, then grab a chair to break a window.
This is off plan, and Sharon struggles with Phyllis to get her to see logic. Good luck with that.

Sharon is the Voice of Reason

Sharon knows that whoever is holding them wants them to solve riddles and be nice to each other. Breaking windows and property destruction were not in the initial orders.

At some point the two ladies realize they need to work together and start hatching an escape plan. Will this work? Or are they in for another long day of trying to figure out obscure puzzles that tie into their past?

Sharon and Phyllis are Desperate to Get Away

Elsewhere, Summer is acting like her mother’s impetuous daughter. She knows that both Phyllis and Sharon are missing, and she wants to believe that this is Sharon’s doing.

The captor allowed Phyllis and Sharon to call Summer and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), respectively, and afterward Summer has a hunch—she thinks that Sharon forced Phyllis to make the phone call.
This makes no sense whatsoever, because Phyllis is not the type to kowtow to anyone, let alone Sharon.

Summer Thinks That Sharon Kidnapped Phyllis

Level headed Chance may tell Summer to keep a cool head and not jump to rash conclusions, but it’s not likely she will listen to reason (another reason these two are incompatible).

At the same time Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) pushes the detective to open an official investigation into Phyllis’ disappearance.

Chance may not want to do that since Red called Summer and told her everything was ok. Plus, Phyllis is a grown woman who can take a break anytime she wants.

Phyllis’ Kids Are Worried and Rightfully So

In the end Chance may respond to the siblings’ pressure by promising to do some off the books sleuthing—because what could go wrong with that?
