Cane Ashby’s Bold Return
When everyone went to Aristotle Dumas’ party in Nice, they never expected the host to actually be Cane. Nobody was pleased to see Cane, especially Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). With no phone service, they were unreachable.
Even after exposing his true identity, Cane still didn’t really explain what his end goal is. Sure, he wants Lily back, but there is more to the story than that.
Genoa City’s Unwelcome Resident
Cane told Lily that he wasn’t giving up on her. The tycoon also mentioned coming back to Genoa City. That shocked Lily, who urged him to just stay away.
After all, Cane will forever be associated with Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) and Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) deaths.
Cane knew before the party that he was going to move back to GC. After all, that is why he has been buying up all the real estate in town.
Then, he had Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) to make some connections locally. Two of these names included Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Billy Abbott & Phyllis Summers’ Alliance
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Cane has brought Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) together for a business deal.
However, these rivals are not exactly civil and will use every opportunity to slam the other one.
Then, we learned in the episode that aired on Tuesday, July 5, 2025, that Cane has been talking to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). However, Jill was completely unaware of Cane and Billy’s deal.
Jill Abbott’s Future
Billy and Jill have been at odds for quite a while. While it seems Cane has a much better relationship with Jill, he’s also a smooth talker. Soap operas love to cause family friction only for something to bring them together again.
So, Billy and Jill will likely end up smoothing things over with one another, but it might not be for a few more weeks.
In the meantime, what exactly is Cane’s end goal, and how will Jill factor into it? Could Cane be doing all of this to hand Chancellor back to Jill?
