Y&R’s Elizabeth Hendrickson Reveals Her Secret to De-Stressing
Elizabeth Hendrickson’s new behind-the-scenes role is keeping her busy.
The Young and the Restless star Elizabeth Hendrickson is a busy woman. Aside from playing Chloe on the CBS soap opera, she’s also added a new role as director. Although her behind-the-scenes job keeps her busy, Hendrickson makes time to relax.
Joy in the Work
Hendrickson has played Chloe for the past 17 years. With her character bumped to recurring and making sporadic appearances, the actress has been working on a new job. For the past year-and-a-half, she’s been studying directing and recently directed her first Y&R episode.
Hendrickson’s directorial debut aired on August 5 and was a huge success. With her first episode in the books, she’s ready to continue her directing duties.
However, her new job as a director isn’t always easy and she’s still learning along the way. Although the role can be stressful at times, Hendrickson finds time to relax on set.
On Instagram, the actress posted a video of her dancing in the halls of the studio. “Joy is part of the work too. Even if it’s just a hallway dance in between scenes. Because clarity and consistency aren’t about perfection – they’re about showing up as your full self, even in the in-betweens,” she captioned the post.
Hendrickson is finding plenty of joy with her new role. With a supportive Y&R cast and crew, her directing career is off to a good start. If her next episodes are anything like her first, fans are in for a treat.
With lots of dramatic storylines coming up, Hendrickson will have her work cut out directing the episodes. But with her positive attitude and discipline, she’s proved she can do anything.
