Y&R’s Melissa Claire Egan Brings Soap Stars Together For Good Cause

The Young and the Restless star Melissa Claire Egan gathered her soap friends to help with a cause close to her heart. Egan supports Dharma Rescue for Cats & Dogs, which focuses on saving disabled, sick, and abused animals.

Taking to Instagram, Egan (Chelsea) shared a carousel of photos from her event. The Y&R star kicked off her share with a shot revealing stars from General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, and The Bold and the Beautiful came out to show our furry friends some love.

Cherie Jimenez (Gabi, DAYS), Courtney Hope (Sally), Rebecca Budig (Taylor, B&B), Hayley Erin (Claire), Annika Noelle (Hope, B&B), Christian LeBlanc (Michael), Bryton James (Devon), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), Kate Linder (Esther), and Julie Dove (Connie, DAYS) are pictured with Egan for a group picture.

In all of the photos, the group was smiling, as everyone was having a good time with the animals. There’s even a video of two dogs that will melt your heart.

“Thank you to everyone who came to support [Dharma Rescue for Cats & Dogs] at our event last Friday! Wow, what a day! These disabled dogs and cats are so special, it means so much that you all showed up for them! Also. My fellow cast and actors that came to support, you mean the world to me!! It meant so much to have you all there, thank you thank you!” Egan said to her soap family.

The actress then gave a shout-out to those working at Dharma Rescue for Cats & Dogs.

“A special thanks to all the Dharma volunteers, also [Christina Gan], [Matt Kane], [Paul Gosselin], & [Cathy Tomas], I could not have done it without you🥹❤️🐾 What Susan and Audrey do is so special, please check them out at dharmarescue.org and donate!” she expressed.

It turns out not everyone who wanted to attend the event was able to. Tracey Bregman (Lauren) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) popped up in the comments to share that they were sorry they missed the fun.

Beyond the Gates star, Karla Mosley (Dani), chimed in to tell Egan, “You’re amazing.” Jimenez echoed the same thing about Egan, while revealing she brought her son Phoenix to the event.

Egan’s charity event comes hot on the heels of the Y&R fan club event, where Lauralee Bell revealed a good time was had by all.
