That was only the beginning of Moira’s revenge — and Joe may not be ready for what’s coming next.
Moira Dingle may not have been the one holding the trigger in Emmerdale, but that does not mean Joe Tate has escaped the fallout. After their tense confrontation, it is becoming clear that Moira is thinking several steps ahead — and this time, she is not fighting alone.
With a surprise ally now by her side, Moira’s revenge is already gathering pace, and Joe could be in more trouble than he realises.
Moira confronts Joe in Emmerdale
When Tuesday’s episode (April 28) began, the pressure was already building. Cain lashed out once again, while Moira chose not to tell him the truth about Robert, unwilling to make his stress even worse.
Aaron later urged Cain to put things right with Moira, and he started to realise that he needed to try.
Meanwhile, Moira had only one thing on her mind. Armed with a shotgun, she headed to Home Farm and let herself in to face Joe.
When Graham arrived and attempted to step in, Moira refused to back down. She made it clear she knew exactly what Joe had done. Joe tried to pin the blame on Robert, but Moira was not buying it.
Dawn stops Moira from going too far
Just as everything reached a breaking point, Dawn walked in and revealed that she was pregnant, holding up the test as proof. In desperation, she begged Moira not to take her baby’s father away.
Graham promised that if Moira walked away, the police would not be involved. Moira agreed, but not before issuing a warning. She made it very clear that Joe’s time would come, and that he would pay for what he had done.
Back at home, Moira and Cain tried to talk through what had happened, but the conversation quickly fell apart. As emotions ran high, Cain stormed out, leaving their relationship on shaky ground.
Over at Home Farm, Joe was delighted by the pregnancy news and spoke confidently about getting his own back on Moira. Dawn, however, was left with more and more doubts. Although Joe tried to brush everything aside and blame Robert, it was obvious she was not fully convinced.
Moira and Dawn join forces in shock plan in Emmerdale
Later this week, Dawn comes face to face with Moira again, and a sharp comment about Joe leaves her rattled.
Already questioning everything, Dawn heads to Wishing Well and demands answers. This time, Moira tells her the truth about Joe’s role in setting her up, leaving Dawn stunned and desperate to hear more.
As the days go on, Dawn struggles to keep up appearances. While Joe celebrates the pregnancy and spreads the news, she finds it increasingly hard to share his excitement, weighed down by everything she now knows.
Eventually, she returns to Moira and admits that she cannot stay with Joe because she hates what he has done. But Moira has a different idea.
She tells Dawn to stay, explaining that financial security will matter if she wants to fight for custody. From there, a plan starts to take shape between them.
Together, they are determined to make Joe Tate pay. The only question is how far they are prepared to go — and whether Joe will realise what is happening before it is too late.
