Shocking reason Danny Miller is keeping his son away from Emmerdale leaves fans curious
Shocking reason Danny Miller is keeping his son away from Emmerdale has sparked plenty of curiosity. The Emmerdale star, who plays Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap, recently opened up about fatherhood and explained why he doesn’t want his young son to watch the show just yet. Keep reading to find out what he said.
Danny Opens Up About His Son!
Danny Miller has played Aaron Dingle for years, and the character has been at the centre of many memorable and emotional storylines. Fans have especially followed Aaron’s relationship with Robert, which has remained one of the soap’s most talked-about romances.
However, last year, Aaron married John Sugden after the pair jumped off a cliff together. Soon after, Aaron discovered the truth and reunited with Robert. At the moment, Aaron is focused on moving forward with his partner, Robert.

Away from the soap, Danny is a father to 3-year-old Albert, 2-year-old Edith and 6-month-old Vincent. He recently appeared on the You Don’t Know You’re Born podcast, which he co-hosts alongside Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent and radio presenter Nigel Wingman Clucas.
During the conversation, Danny revealed that his son Albert has started showing an interest in performing. The discussion also turned to how parents balance work with family life, and whether their children understand what they do for a living.
Danny said Albert is aware because he has developed a real interest in performing arts, including dancing and singing. Still, Danny made it clear that his son is not being pushed in that direction. He added that Albert simply says he is an actor, and they have not gone into much detail beyond that.
Why Is Danny Miller Keeping His Son Away From The Soap?
Danny then explained why he would prefer Albert not to watch Emmerdale. According to the star, it would be confusing for his son to see him kissing someone other than Steph, regardless of whether the person on screen is a man or a woman. He stressed that the issue has nothing to do with sexuality.
Of course, Danny has had to film kissing scenes with his on-screen husband, so the family had to talk about it. He shared that Albert once asked why Danny doesn’t kiss his mother instead.

He added that Albert only sees him kissing his mother, so the idea of him kissing someone else on television would be difficult to understand. Danny said the character’s sexuality is not the point — it would be confusing either way. Brooke Vincent agreed, saying that children would likely find it puzzling to see their parents kissing someone they do not know, regardless of gender.
The soap star also spoke about fan encounters. He said that on occasions when he is stopped for photos, Albert assumes people want a picture with his father rather than with him. That leads to more explanations about what Danny does for work.
