“I wake up and I thank God everyday that I’m here,” she said.
She added, “I’m happy when that happens. I have another day. I have clothes on my back, I have food on the table and I have my village.”
Billups responded by reflecting on the simple things in life, saying, “Life itself is what should make you happy. Seeing another sunrise makes me happy. Having the ability to breathe; mobility — those are things that make me happy.”
Lee agreed with that perspective and said she was looking ahead to more time with her family in the new year, along with fitness goals and the launch of a new podcast.
