Survivor 50 sent Cirie Fields out in the penultimate episode, and the move hit even harder because her ally Rizo Velovic was the one who turned on her.

Still, Cirie did not choose bitterness. Instead, she responded with a calm perspective that surprised many fans.

She will return in the season finale as part of the jury, where she will help decide who takes home the $2,000,000 prize.

At the same time, viewers can vote for their favorite player from Season 50, and one contestant will also land a $100,000 bonus prize from Sia.

Cirie Fields explains why she’s not upset about Rizo Velovic’s move on Survivor 50

“You know what? Rizo is a kid, like one of my sons. I think Rizo’s younger than most of my sons. I have three sons,” Cirie told.

Cirie also has experience playing Big Brother alongside one of her sons, Jared Fields.

“I think Rizo’s a smart Survivor player, and he’s like me 20 years ago. I just wanted to win the game so badly, and Rizo was loyal, and he rode as long as he could until he thought it got to a point where he was right! He would never win against me. You can’t be mad at him,” she added.

That is high praise from someone who has played the game several times. Rather than dwelling on the blindside, Cirie chose to recognize the strategy behind it. Not every reality competition veteran reacts that way.

She expanded on that thought even further.

“So I just think Rizo did what he thought he needed to do for his game. And I look at Rizo like when your children do something bad, you don’t turn on them, you don’t hate them. You might scold them or have a conversation with them, but you still love them, and that’s how I feel about Rizo,” the reality TV legend said.

The final five now include Jonathan Young, Joe Hunter, Tiffany Ervin, Aubry Bracco, and Rizo. Could the Survivor 49 alum actually reach the final three and face the jury? Stay tuned!
