More Problems Are Coming For David And Shona In Coronation Street
Earlier this year, David and Shona faced one of the hardest times of their lives when baby Harper developed health complications. The family spent weeks worrying about her condition, but thankfully she recovered and was eventually allowed to leave hospital.
Now that Harper is safely at home, fans might think life will finally settle down for the couple. However, Jack P Shepherd has revealed that more trouble is on the way.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the actor said: “David has just had a baby with Shona and they’ve got the baby out of hospital and they’re taking the baby home.” He then teased what viewers can expect next, adding: “There will be something dark that happens.”
Shepherd also reassured fans that the upcoming drama will not involve baby Harper. Instead, the problem will affect the wider Platt family. He explained: “It won’t happen to the baby. It’s something family-orientated for the Platts. They’ve been through tough times before and they’re going to go through something tough again.”
Could Jodie Be Connected To The New Storyline?
The actor’s comments have already sparked plenty of speculation among viewers. One recent storyline focused on Shona’s half-sister Jodie Ramsey, who tried to come between David and Shona.
Jodie caused plenty of trouble as she attempted to break up the couple and win David for herself. Her lies and manipulation created tension within the family and left many fans wondering what she might do next.
Because of that, some viewers are already asking whether Jodie could be linked to the dark storyline that Shepherd has teased. At the moment, Coronation Street has not confirmed any details, so fans will have to wait and see whether Jodie is involved or if another problem is about to hit the Platts.
