LEAKED! Coronation Street’s Ryan Mulvey Lands Major New Role

Ryan Mulvey is swapping the cobbles of Weatherfield for a fairy tale forest this Christmas — and fans are already buzzing. The Coronation Street star has just landed a major theatrical role that proves he’s got serious range beyond the ITV soap, and his Corrie co-stars are already showing their support.

Life is about to get a whole lot more magical for Coronation Street star Ryan Mulvey. The actor, best known for playing Brody Michaelis on the long-running ITV soap, has just announced a major new role that takes him far from the streets of Weatherfield — and into a classic fairy tale.

Mulvey will be starring in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a brand new pantomime production set to run at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre this Christmas. It’s a big deal — and fans of the actor are already losing their minds over it.

Mulvey will play Prince Fredrick in the production, which is being described as “spectacular” — “packed with laugh-out-loud comedy, dazzling costumes, stunning special effects and plenty of festive magic.” If that doesn’t sound like the perfect Christmas night out, we don’t know what does.

The show’s logline sets up a deliciously dramatic plot: “When the Magic Mirror declares Snow White the fairest of them all, the Wicked Queen’s jealousy erupts into a wicked plan. Determined to reclaim her title, she orders the young Princess’ demise.”

Snow White escapes into the deep, dark forest, stumbling upon a mysterious cottage home to seven unforgettable characters — and of course, the Wicked Queen won’t rest until she gets her revenge. Enter: the poisoned apple.

As for Prince Fredrick? He’s on a quest to find his true love, joined by Epstein Theatre favourites Muddles and Nurse Nelly in what promises to be a show brimming with “chaos, comedy, and plenty of festive fun.”

Co-Stars React — and the Support Is Instant

It didn’t take long for Mulvey’s fellow Coronation Street cast members to rally around the announcement. Junade Khan, who plays Idris Nazir on the soap, jumped straight into the comments with a message that perfectly summed up the mood: “You’ll smash [it] bro.”

It’s the kind of support that says a lot about the bond between the Corrie cast — and it’s clear Mulvey has earned a lot of love from his colleagues on set.

Before landing the role of Brody Michaelis, Mulvey was already a familiar face to soap fans as JJ Osborne on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks. Moving from one beloved British soap to another, he’s built a loyal following — and now he’s stepping into a whole new world with live theatre.

When and Where to See Him

The production opens on Saturday 5 December and runs all the way through until Sunday 3 January 2027, giving fans plenty of opportunity to catch Mulvey in action before the new year. Further information about ticket prices and show timings is available directly through the Epstein Theatre.
