Heartbreaking Survivor 50 twist: Rizo Velovic almost took the MrBeast coin gamble — and his reason for backing off has fans talking
Survivor 50 has already delivered plenty of jaw-dropping moments, and the latest episode added another major surprise with an appearance from YouTube star MrBeast.

Viewers had been waiting for this one, and the payoff lived up to the hype.
One of the episode’s biggest moments came when Rick Devens flipped a coin to determine his fate in the game. With nowhere else to turn, he was hoping for a miracle that could keep him alive in the competition.
And he got exactly that. Devens not only guessed the coin flip correctly, but also earned immunity from the vote and an Immunity Idol to bring back to camp. It was a massive win and may have changed everything.
For Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, though, the result was devastating. She was voted out on Day 19 and finished in 10th place.
Rizo Velovic wanted to flip that MrBeast coin
Reacting to Season 50, Episode 10, Survivor 49 alum Rizo Velovic explained what stopped him from trying to take part in the now-viral coin flip moment.
“Part of me wanted to flip the Mr Beast coin for the moment,” Rizo wrote on X.
It would have been a huge scene for him, especially after he shared that his brother is a big fan of MrBeast content. If he had landed the $2 million prize for everyone, his Survivor story would have grown even bigger.
“But then I stared at Cirie at tribal and I can sense her telling me ‘if you don’t sit your a** down.’ #Survivor50,” Rizo added.
It was a funny post, and it matched exactly the kind of reaction fans could imagine from Cirie Fields.
He did sit down, and that decision let him enjoy Devens’ huge moment. Later, Rizo also helped vote out Stephenie. It turned into a strong day for him and his closest allies.
“Praying you’re playing the long game here and actually going to the end with Cirie and Ozzy. I’m so tired of people dumping their number ones at the end. Wouldn’t it be ironic in the best way if Cirie’s Rizard of Oz actually ends up being the real Honor and Integrity alliance?” replied Lexa Power on X.
