Jeff Probst just accidentally spoiled the result of the fire-making challenge during the Survivor 50 finale.
Heading into the fire-making challenge, the show returned from commercial break with the jury already on stage. Jeff Probst brought out Rizo, and he appeared to be reading from the prompter when he told the audience that Rizo Velovic lost the fire-making challenge and became the first two-time loser in the fire-making challenge in the history of Survivor.
The crowd didn’t react or cheer for Rizo, and Jeff clearly picked up on it. He asked what was going on, and Cirie Fields told Jeff that the fire-making challenge had not yet been shown.
In other words, Jeff jumped the gun, and the prompter sent him in the wrong direction. When the show came back, Jeff joked that they had a Survivor twist — the last one of the season. He called it “a view into the future” before sending viewers back to the fire-making challenge to watch Rizo lose.
