Leaked!!! Ozzy Lusth Reveals Which Survivor 50 Player Hurt Him Most After the Blindside
Ozzy Lusth’s latest Survivor 50 exit has left fans stunned after he was blindsided again, with an idol still in his pocket when his torch was snuffed.
After Jeff Probst revealed yet another double elimination—the third multi-person vote of the season—the two groups the players were split into appeared simple enough. But this is Survivor 50, and nothing ever stays simple for long. In an effort to make a bold move, Tiffany Ervin sent Jonathan Young to the other beach to help coordinate a blindside against Ozzy Lusth.
Even though he landed in the group with two players—Rizo Velovic and Joe Hunter—who were loyal to Cirie Fields, Ozzy’s closest ally, and would never have voted him out if she were there, the alliance knew this was their best chance to eliminate a strong challenge threat with everything to prove.
And as has become the pattern this season, after his elimination Ozzy appeared on CBS Mornings (below) with the other castaway sent to the jury in episode 11, Emily Flippen. The first question, naturally, was why he didn’t play his idol—especially after dreaming the night before that he would be voted out. Ozzy says he has been having nightmares for nearly a year, reliving that moment over and over in his head.
But what stung even more was the betrayal he felt from the other men he had aligned with—Rizo, Joe, and Jonathan. He says they built a strong bond out there and shared a kind of “bromance,” so when his name was read, it hurt more than it had in the past.
“Rizo was my no. 1 and he stabbed me in the back… He had something to prove and it might work out for him, might not.” – Ozzy Lusth on CBS Mornings

The hosts then compare Ozzy to some of the greatest players in sports history who never won the biggest prize, saying his name belongs near the top of the list of all-time Survivor greats despite never taking home the title. Ozzy responds by saying that in Survivor, “the journey is the destination.” He reflects on how the game has shaped him over the past twenty years since his first season and says, “chances are you won’t win…so I’m just absolutely honored that I got a chance to play the first time…and to be able to come back and play five times [has] been the opportunity of a lifetime.”
And while it’s hard to see Ozzy go—even with an idol still in his pocket—I’m very interested to see how his Final Tribal Council jury moment plays out. If Rizo makes it to the end, it will be worth watching whether Ozzy gives him the same kind of lecture he once gave John Cochran in Survivor: South Pacific for not staying loyal. And if Cirie is there, well, we can probably guess exactly where his vote will land.
